Who we are

Jeremy Haig-

Founder and Artistic Director

Jeremy Haig (he/him) is the founder and Artistic Director of The Other Road Theater Project, a company dedicated to telling emotionally urgent, intellectually charged stories from a different perspective. With a deep belief in the power of language, intimacy, and moral complexity, Jeremy curates and directs work that challenges assumptions — often choosing plays that invite audiences to sit in discomfort, wrestle with big ideas, and see familiar stories anew.

His approach is rooted in the conviction that theater should do more than entertain — it should provoke, illuminate, and awaken. That belief fuels his artistic vision: to stage human-centered dramas that aren’t afraid of silence, contradiction, or emotional depth.

Jeremy’s background blends classical training with a modern, unpretentious sensibility. As a director and producer, he’s drawn to intimate, actor-driven work that’s fearless in both its structure and soul. His programming for The Other Road’s inaugural seasons reflects this focus— a quartet of plays that foreground power, belief, identity, and legacy.

He believes the road less traveled isn’t about being different for difference’s sake — it’s about doing the work others won’t, in the way others can’t. @jeremydhaig

His recent Colorado credits include work as Master Electrician for Hadestown, Matilda, The Little Mermaid, The Lightning Thief, The Door, and New Musical Project at Theatre SilCo, as well as credits with Parlando, Platte Valley Players, and A Theatre Group. He recently completed his 11th year teaching theatre at Prairie View High School in Henderson, Colorado, where he continues to help young artists discover the discipline, collaboration, and joy of making theater.

At The Other Road, Andrew will help guide the technical realization of our productions, supporting the lighting, scenic, and production needs that bring each world from concept to stage. His combination of theatrical experience, educator instincts, and maker’s brain makes him exactly the kind of artist we want helping build this company from the ground up.

Outside the theater, Andrew is living his best Colorado life exploring the mountains with his partner, Owen, and their pups, Trixie and Peanut.
